Reflecting on 2024 and Plans for the Future

It's the first day of the new year, and we're already on our third entry. Kinda crazy if you think about it. Special thanks to Cowboy Joe for contributing to the second entry...which, shall I say, was a polarizing read. And no, I won't be apologizing for that joke; hate me if you will. I have a strong feeling we'll be writing here a lot, but I'm not complaining. I'm a professional yapper and I have a lot on my mind all the time. You guys get to enjoy quality, consistent uploads from the brilliant minds behind our business, and we get to enjoy writing them. Win-win for all of us. With that being said, let's move on to the main course.
2024 was one of the most pivotal years in this company's history, as many huge milestones were achieved in that time. Here's a brief overview of what our awesome team managed to secure:
-Rented out an office and established our official company headquarters
-Redesigned and refurbished the website
-Notarized our business agreements and established Taylon's World, LLC as an official legal entity
-Formed a strategic partnership with Agralo Film and Photography, LLC
-First Fighcalm comic book purchased
So, yeah. Pretty good year for our company. But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. At the end of the day, we're still a 3-strong organization and we aren't exactly rolling in cash. What's more is that Reilly and I are in college full-time, and coupled with work and other personal matters, it's a strategic balancing act to fit in time to work on Taylon's World. My first semester at Duquesne was rough; academically, personally, and socially. But I managed to pull through, and I'm sure my second semester will be a lot better since I know what to expect from it. But enough about me, if I want to vent about my issues, I'll do it with a therapist. Or destroy some Ben & Jerry's (Phish Food, preferably). Let's talk about the future of Taylon's World.
I have a feeling 2025 will be as important, if not more important than 2024, and for several reasons. For one, new and emerging technologies will allow us to get much more quality work done, and more efficiently, too. This year, we have ambitious tech-related goals, but I know for a fact that we can achieve them.
-Optimize Website: Make sure the website is optimized on all devices and ensure the lowest lagging time possible
-Develop Mobile App: Develop a mobile app (Android and IOS compatible) for Taylon's World
-Develop a streaming platform for all Taylon's World and partners' content
-Develop Membership System: Create a basic tiered membership system for users and integrate it in both the website and app.
-Enhanced Community Building Tools: Create user accounts, forum, and enhance comment features
-Newsletter and Updates: Automated emailing system for users to receive the latest updates
Business and content-wise, we have a lot of big plans cooking for that, too. One of the main focuses for 2025 is forming strategic partnerships with powerful entities and other established organizations to further expand our reach, as well as prioritizing making our content the best it's ever been.
-Forming partnerships/landing interviews with local agencies and organizations
-Increasing revenue streams and setting legitimate revenue targets
-Enhance brand recognition by expanding to other social media platforms (i.e. Vimeo, TikTok, etc)
-Create at least 5-10 comic books of The Postmen
-Make at least one full-length animated episode of Fighcalm School Story
-Look into creating a royalty program to increase user retention
-Encourage and use user-generated content and showcase user creations (could possibly merge with the forum section to create something bigger)
This is just the beginning. Who knows where we'll go from here? Either way, I'm excited to stick around and see what happens. This is Connor McDonagh, signing off.
